Very quiet rooms, good food and very courteous services. What's more to expect when you are on a business trip?
On a clear day realize you are at the bottom of Mount Vitosha and enjoy the gorgeous view.
Hourly shuttle service with the airport, just 20 min away if traffic conditions are good
Room Tip: rooms on the south side enjoy the view on Mount Vitosha, gorgeous when covered with snow.

I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn before and this one was excellent. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with prompt and courteous services, good quality food, and well equipped rooms. The hotel was conveniently located to the airport, the business park, and not too far from down town Sofia.

Great hotel with the best breakfast I ever saw. It is just next to Sofia business park, so if you have business there, it is the obvious choice. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are great, especially if you spend more than 2 nights you can appreciate the rooms being larger. Both shower and bath tub and very clean toilet. Didn't have time to go to the spa, but I plan to try it next time.

During a recent visit to Bulgaria I had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights in an executive room at the Sofia Holiday Inn. My room was well furnished, very comfortable and in tip top condition. Whilst I had a car the hotel offered a shuttle service to and from the airport, mainly on an hourly basis. I found the staff friendly, helpful and very informed with a good command of the english language in general. Nothing was ever too mch trouble. I had my meals in the hotel restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the fare on offer from a comprehensive menu befitting their five star status. Whilst not cheap it was good value for money as indeed was the extremely good local Bulgarian red wine. Although I did not sample the spa facilities, fellow guests spoke very highly of it. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I last reviewed the Holiday Inn Sofia almost 5 years ago, and I just had a chance to stay there again after an absence of 3 years.
I was very happy to find that the high standards of the rooms, the service and the food have been maintained.
And the airport shuttle service was provided at no extra cost to me!

This hotel was excellent for my needs. The staff here were very helpful, kind and considerate. The food at all of the restaurants was UNBELIEVABLE delicious. If you are coming to Sofia for business this is the hotel to stay at.

after 6 visits to the Holiday Inn Sofia in 4 years!
I have said this in many reviews before that Holiday Inn is one of those brands that are chosen ahead of others because globally you pretty much know exactly what it is you are going to get!
However; In the case of Holiday Inn Sofia you would be wrong - but pleasantly so. Because in my mind, having stayed in Holiday Inns across the length and breadth of Europe and the USA, Holiday Inn Sofia is 'probably' THE BEST Holiday Inn of them ALL!
Why? - well for me it is all down the staff; primarily and very much led from the front by the eloquent and thoroughly professional General Manager, Ani Petrova. She is the life blood of this hotel and her exacting requirements are completely understood by her staff and carried out to the highest of standards. Every member of staff I have come across (and I think I know most of them by now) sees it as a personal responsibility to ensure that me, my wife and all the other guests are thoroughly looked after and no stone is left unturned as far as our comfort and wants are concerned.
Holiday Inn Sofia is in the business district and so is a little 'out of town' but that should not deter. If you want a relaxing stay, if you enjoy being made to feel special - with NO dramas then a 20bL taxi into town for the shopping and city nightlife is but a small price to pay.
In conclusion - I cannot see a time in the future that I wouldn't continue to use and enjoy my stays at The Holiday Inn Sofia!

Really friendly staff (although I do come here every fortnight) and well presented clean rooms.
Good choice of hot and cold buffet breakfast. Dinner can also be a Bulgarian mixed hot and cold buffet or standard a la carte.

As a frequent HI quest in many countries I can tell you that this hotel is nice and fresh.
Rooms (executive) are very comfortable with coffie stuff.
Looks nice and calm.
